i am so excited!!! my cousin's wife just had a baby boy yesterday. his name is Tyler James Baron. mother and baby are doing fine. he is just beautiful!!! i can't believe that my little cousin (ok so maybe he is going to be 30 in January) but he is still my little cousin has a baby of his own. it still amazes me that even though a lot of my friends and most of my cousin's have kids and i still am not ready. i guess that is a good thing right now since i am single. i love being able to see my friend's and family's kids and babies but they still go back to mom and dad when they cry.
Congratulations to Nicole and Greg on the new addition to their family. now we are just waiting for my other cousin, Shelly, to have her baby. should be in the next month.
i am so scared and pleased with myself all at the same time. yesterday, i signed up for a flying lesson thru highlife adventures. now those who know me realize what a big deal this is. i am scared of flying. so for me to take a lesson seems strange. well it's not.....i have always told myself that the reason that i don't like to fly is that i don't understand enough about it and why the plane does certain things. now don't get me wrong, i understand how a plane flies and why there is turbulance.....but i just think i would get a different perspective on it if i have done it myself. luckily, jd is taking the same lesson with me. so i will have a friend there to help support me. i will do it. just a little nervous is all.
i saw Chicago last night. the live musical not the movie. it was really amazing. i always like the live productions better than the movie versions. my only complaint was the woman who played momma (Queen Latifah's role). she just didn't have the presence that Queen Latifah had in the movie. she didn't have the voice to pull it off. she also didn't move well enough. Queen Latifah was a formidable force in the movie whereas the woman who played her on stage was short and stocky but didn't really come across as a strong person. the funny part is that she won the tony for her portrail of that role on broadway. everything else about the stage version was great. i love musicals. i want to see Momma Mia next. better see it soon since it is leaving chicago at the end of september.
