wow have i gotten behind in writing to my journal. i have been so busy at work....including right now. but i had to post this quick thing....
I had a flying lesson on saturday!!!! for those who don't know me...this is huge!!! i am scared of flying. i have always said that the reason that i don't like to fly is because i don't have control of the plane. saturday proved to me that this is very true. jd and i went on this outing together. we rode together in the same plane. she flew first. i wanted to see what happened. she did really well. but i still had a hard time sitting in the back. my stomach was in knots. i felt every bump.
after we landed, i got to take over. i was able to take off, fly around, climb to different altitudes, etc. the only thing i didn't do was land. it was great!! i loved it. i was so busy consentrating on doing the things the instructor wanted me to do that i didn't even think about being nervous or about the turbulance. i would love to take flying lessons for real but it is just too much of an investment. $7000 minimum to become certified on the 4 seater plane that i flew on saturday. i can't afford that right now. maybe someday.
