so i have had a very busy few days.....first starting with the weekend and then continuing into this week. well....it all started friday when i fell asleep at 8pm on the recliner. this happened because i had only slept 4 hours the night before.....went to the bar way too late on thursday. i ended up waking up at 4:30am on saturday and couldn't go back to sleep. so i decided that i was going to finish my photo album from my trip to paris, vietnam, and hong kong back in the spring. yeah!!! it's done....now i just have to show it to the people who have been bugging me for it for the last 6 months. a friend of mine came in from boston for the weekend and he called to say that he would be by in an hour or 2. well....i still needed to take a shower and clean my place. i had just finished when he called to say he was at the corner. couldn't have planned that better or closer. we walked around my neighborhood for a while then headed to pick me up cafe for lunch...he treated....so nice.
i went to the cubs game with my boston friend (ct) along with sara and chris. we had great seats. 14 rows back just to the right of home plate. they were real impressed that i could get those tickets. the benefits of staying friends with your ex. thanks sn. it was a great game. really close. and the cubs won. we then walked down the street to have a few drinks. we went the fiesta cantina....i asked the bartender if we could get a pitcher of sangria...he said they didn't have it but he could make it for us...cool. it was really good. plus he only charged us $8. wow...especially considering we got almost 9 glasses out of it. then we headed out. ct and i wanted to eat some dinner. sara and chris needed to let the dog out. we had dinner at yoshi's....i love this place. kind of expensive but fun every once in a while. we shared a bottle of very good zinfindal wine. wow was i tipsy when we left there. only bad part was that i kind of choked on a piece of steak. scared me for a minute but it passed. (side note: i really need to get my throat checked to see if they can do anything to help me stop choking). then ct and i went to our own places (he was staying with ky) so that we could change and then go to studio x. i made sure that he called me when he was leaving so that i would get up and get ready. good thing too....i sort of fell asleep....well i did get up at 4am. i made it to studio x and dance with a few people and talked with others. orl was nice enough to give me a ride home.
sunday ct tried calling me to get me to go to brunch with them....i bailed...i needed to sleep more. then i met up with jd and jn to go see once upon a time in mexico. it was ok....the only saving grace is that johnny depp was in it. afterwards, jd made the comment that it was the best of the trilogy....at which time jn and i asked her what trilogy. would have helped if we knew that. oh well...maybe it would have made more sense then. jn gave us a ride home and on the way helped me pick up the island that i bought for my kitchen. i put it together. then tw picked me up so we could go to fitzgerald's. nice time. the old timers were there again. am showed up....she's cool. now i just have to get her to give me a ride on a motorcycle before the weather gets too cold.
monday and tuesday were hectic at work. our customer was not happy that we haven't given them the information that they needed....so my last 2 days have been spent getting all the information together. monday night, tw's company had a bunch of tickets to sell to the cubs game. we had 25 people go. one of the guys even asked for my number.....we'll see where that goes later. then last night i had acupuncture....allergies seem to be doing better. then i went to a self defense class. really learned a lot...now i just need to find a partner who i can beat down to practice so that i don't lose it...any takers??? hee!!
