happy 30th birthday ct!!!! hope you have a great one!

we have so much food at work right now. we are in our 3rd day of "goodies". so far there is shrimp, bagels, hummus and pita, pastries, chili, meatballs, cocktail weenies, lots of desserts, and a bunch more things that i can't remember....and it's only 9:45am. plus our sales office is buying us lunch today. they are going to have to roll me home.

i got a call from my dad yesterday. apparently my 93 year old grandma fell and hit her head. she is fine but has a nice bump and cut over her eye. she has alzheimer's. it has been years since she called my dad by name. she usually remembers that he is her son but not always. it's pretty sad and hard to deal with. but yesterday my dad walks into the emergency room where she is and she tells the doctor that he is her son, Bruce. she acutally remembered his name. he was shocked. i told him to let me know if she still remembers the next time he goes to visit her. i am going to do some investigating into this disease and see if that is normal or not.
