wow it has been a busy week. i went skiing for my first time last weekend. it was pretty fun but i wish it hadn't been quite so cold. -15 wind chill is a bit too cold to ski. but we did pretty good. i was probably out there for 3 hours of actual skiing time. the first thing i have to say is tow ropes suck!!! the only reason that i was sore the next day was because of the stupid tow rope. there has to be a better way to get up to the top of the bunny hill. of course they may not want to change it since it gets people off of it quicker. a couple of people that went with us were great about teaching me. and one of the girls like to just go slow back and forth down the hill and that was just fine with me. although i did discover that it is pretty fun to lay down on your back and slide down the hill. so what if i was just trying to slow down. it was still fun.
the rest of the weekend was nice. we rented a 3 bedroom townhouse and had 11 of us there. amazingly there weren't any fights with that many people under one roof for 3 days.
then there was the superbowl. and i didn't win any money.....oh well. but i did get to see Janet's boob. wow what a thrill that was....(can you feel the sarcasm?) it was so obviously a publicity stunt (TIVO comes in handy sometimes). i mean who actually wears a nipple cover under their clothes. whatever.
as for this week....i have been busy with work and stuff. i did get a call from a headhunter who wants to bring me in to talk with him. a good sign there except he didn't understand why i wouldn't be willing to move to the suburbs if he found me a good job out there. i had to re-explain that the main reason that i am looking for a job is because i am tired of my commute and want to find something closer to home. i also had to tell him that if i was willing to move out to the suburbs then i would have done that already and i wouldn't be looking for a job now....
and now the best part....at the end of december, i wrote a post about how excited i was about something but that i couldn't tell anyone about it yet.....well now i can as long as everyone realizes that this will be happening tonight and tomorrow and that my sister won't know all the details until then.... my sis is getting engaged tonight!!!! then tomorrow she finds out about surprise 2....she is going to vegas for the weekend to celebrate. then she gets to find out about surprise 3 - there are 30 of us going with her. my parents, my aunt and uncle, his parents, bn and i, and a bunch of her friends are all going. so tomorrow morning ....i will be on my way to vegas for the weekend!!! i can't believe that after being quiet for 2 months, i will finally be able to tell people about it. yeah!!!!
