shit it is cold outside!!!! standing out at the bus stop was cruel and unusual punishment. a wind chill of -13 is insane! i know i complain that it is too cold when it is still in the 20's but this is ridiculous. i ended up having to take a cab to union station after waiting at the bus stop for 15 minutes without a bus in sight. i have these buses timed to within a minute in the morning. they are supposed to come every 8 minutes during rush hour but not today.

normally if i am going to miss my train out of union station because the bus is late or didn't show up, i will just wait until the next bus shows up and take a later train. unfortunately this gets me to work an hour later. luckily this doesn't happen very often. now if i miss my bus because i am running late, i will pay for a cab to take me to the station. well today after standing out in the cold for 15 minutes...i realized that it was stupid of me to stick to that rule today since i could get frost bite. so i had to pay for a cab today.

another thing that i find silly....are the people who care more about what they look like than staying warm. is fashion more important than staying warm? i think not!!! i was wearing a shirt, sweater, sweatshirt, jacket, long underwear, pants, a full length down jacket, scarf, face warmer, hat, boots, and mittens. even with all this i was cold. mostly because of my face that was still exposed around my eyes. then at the bus stop....i see people in dress coats, fancy boots, head band, and cute little gloves. gee i wonder why they are cold???? i'm just glad that i don't feel the need to impress anyone with my lack of fashion sense.

of course my best revenge is that they will end up getting sick a lot more than i do over the winter.
