bowl-o-rama
What an amazing weekend.
We started off on Friday with what has to be the best party that I have ever been to. Definitely my style. My sister threw us a couples shower where even the guys had a great time. Hard to do. It was at a bowling alley that is above a hardware store. We started out with tons of food. My sister made it all. We had a pasta salad, a regular salad, a bunch of different meat, cheese, and veggie roll ups made with tortillas, a few dips (guacamole, a Mexican dip, and blt dip), a veggie pizza, and a bunch of deserts. The best part was that she had labels for everything. It was great. We had 33 friends join us. I was overwhelmed. We spent some time eating and talking then we headed over for some bowling. We bowled one game the regular way. Then it was on to silly bowling. My sis gave each team a set of 10 envelopes. Each envelope had a different way to bowl. So we would open an envelope and the entire team would bowl that way. Here are the list of ways we had to bowl…
1. bowl in slow motion
2. bowl with your eyes closed
3. bowl between someone elses legs
4. bowl on one foot
5. bowl with your wrong arm
6. turn around 5 times before you bowl. (really hard especially for the second ball)
7. bowl backwards and between your own legs
8. bowl while sitting down
9. bowl as if you are walking on a tight rope
10. and one more that I can’t remember right now.
The team with the best score won some awesome prizes…like bubbles or such. I think I scored a 25 or something. It was hilarious. Everyone got into it and had a blast. Then we spent the rest of the time just socializing. The best part was that our different groups of friends completely mingled. So now they should know each other better for the wedding.

Plus we got lots of great gifts. Thank you for that!!! We waited until we got home to open them. So at 2 in the morning, we were a little tipsy and opening gifts. Luckily we were good about writing down who got us what and were able to write our thank yous the next day.
Saturday we met with the rabbi for the last time before our big day. Everything is set there. I really like him and know he will do a great job.
Then we had more bowling to do. Our friend turned 30 and we surprised him with a bowling party. We haven’t seen him and his wife in a while so it was good to get out. Overall a fun time.
The rest of the weekend was spent finishing up wedding stuff. We can always find more to do. Luckily we are into the details and don’t have to do any major things.
